You can feel the nuance of old Surabaya town when you walk along Tunjungan Street. There are a lot of old buildings along the road which are very photographable. The street is very shady and has large pavement so that you can walk leisurely enjoying the hustle life in Surabaya. Also, there are a lot of historical places located in this street which you can visit. House of Sampoerna

Before the renovation, then open for public in 2003, House of Sampoerna was a tobacco company established in 1932. The central auditorium of the building becomes a museum which exhibits the history of Sampoerna. You can also see the cigarette roll process done manually which up until now is still used in producing Sampoerna first cigarette product, Dji Sam Soe. There are also a café, a merchandise shop, and an art gallery in the East wing, while Sampoerna family still live in the West wing. House of Sampoerna offers a city sightseeing tour in north of Surabaya or Old Surabaya as well, called Surabaya Heritage Track.

Ex. De Javasche Bank Soerabaia is a museum which used to be the central bank during Dutch colonial era. There are two floors in this museum. In first floor, you can see a glimpse of how a central bank operated and what equipment it has. You can also see the displays gold bars, paper money, coins which were used as trading exchange in the past. Second floor is where the tellers used to be located. The museum does not provide the tour guide but you can ask the staff there to accompany you looking around the museum.
