Strength and Weakness

What are your strength and weakness?

Strength are tasks or actions you can do well. These include knowledge, proficiencies, skills, and talents. People use their traits and abilities to complete work, relate with others, and achieve goals. Whilst weakness, is the exact opposite of it. Every person in the world has their strengths and weaknesses. What are yours?

Why is it so important for us to know our strength and weakness? Because it can guide us to a better understanding of ourselves and how we can make use of our capabilities. We need to identify them for us to move forward with our lives. There are several ways we would be able to tell what our strength and weakness are.

Strength

First, you can start by making two lists. One titled strength and the other one weakness. Start by asking yourself what are you good at, what have other complimented you about, which projects that are draining your energy and which one doesn’t, what are your hobbies, etc. If you get confused on the way, you can move on the next step. Second step is talk to the people you trust, ask them what they think you are good at, ask them what they know about you. And the second step is also important even if you don’t have any difficulties doing the first step, because sometimes people can get biased on themselves, they can think of themselves too highly or even too little. Once you receive your feedbacks, refine it to your lists.

The third step, try taking a personality test. You don’t have to go a psychologist or any medical help (if you have the money and you want to, that’s fine) but you can go online and search for high credibility personality tests. It can surely make it easier for you to put something on the lists.

Fourth step is trying to learn new things, who knows? You might like the new things that you discover, maybe you could try singing, dancing, cooking, climbing, launch your own website, knit, do small investments or anything that you haven’t tried yet. And the last step is to evaluate your lists. Now that you’ve spent some time identifying your strengths and weaknesses, you can evaluate which ones need some additional attention from you. Some of your strengths represent the absolute best you have to offer right now. Other strengths may need to be further developed before they can be used to their fullest potential. In your weakness list, some weaknesses will be glaring. You will need to address them and improve upon them before you’ll be able to succeed. Other weaknesses, like some of your strengths, may simply be irrelevant to your overall objectives. In the end, it’s you who know your own strength and weakness best.
