What You Need to Know About Hand Sanitizers

Hand sanitizers safety precautions

The use of hand sanitizers has increased nowadays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And because of the frequent use, hand sanitizers have become quite hard to find. Because of the rarity, people have started to make their own sanitizers and sell them without license. If you want to buy hand sanitizers, we recommend you to look for the ones which had license and has been used by lots of people, also make sure it is made in real laboratories. Hand sanitizers that are recommended by CDC and WHO are the ones that consist of 60% alcohol or higher, this helps us kill bacteria, whereas hand sanitizers that doesn’t have alcohol in it works less effective and it only reduces the growth of bacteria rather than killing it.

But there are also alternatives beside using hand sanitizers. Hand sanitizers are effective when you want to kill bacteria in your hands, but what happens when your hand is greasy or dirty? Wash your hands with soap! Washing hands with soap and running water is better than using hand sanitizers, because washing your hands not only kill the bacteria in it but also can rinse the dead bacteria in your hands whereas hand sanitizers can only clean and we still need to wash our hands at the end of the day. When you are at home, prioritize washing your hands, when you are outside with no sink and soap, use your hand sanitizers.

There are also rules about not washing your hand or sanitize your hand too frequent. Doing so will only left your hands dry and even more vulnerable to bacteria. There are also good bacteria that needs to stay alive in your hands and protect from the ones that are bad. So, wash and sanitize your hands, but do it when needed!
